Privacy Policy
Last updated: 26 May 2026 · Handyy Pte. Ltd. (Singapore)
Subject to applicable laws, you agree that by accessing the Handyy platform, which includes our Handyy mobile apps and website (collectively the “Platform”), you shall be deemed to have accepted to be legally bound by the terms of this Privacy Policy without limitation or qualification, and all personal information / data relating to you collected by Handyy Pte. Ltd. (“Handyy”, “we”, “our” or “us”) from the Platform from time to time may be used and disclosed for such purposes and to such persons as set out in this Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not access or use the Platform. Any continued access or use of the Platform (whether this time or in future) will imply that you have accepted the terms of this Privacy Policy.
We take your privacy seriously and are committed to providing a safe online experience. We believe in being transparent about our practices, which is why we have provided this Privacy Policy to explain how we collect, use and disclose your information.
1. Personal Information We Collect
Depending on how you use the Platform (as a customer, as a service provider, or as a visitor), we may collect the following categories of personal information:
- Account and contact details — your name, email address, mobile phone number, password, and (for service providers) your registered services, skills and profile information.
- Booking and service information — the addresses and locations where services are requested or performed, job descriptions, photos and attachments you upload about a task, scheduling details, quotes, ratings and reviews.
- Payment information — handled by our payment processor (see “Payment System” below). We do not store full card numbers on our own systems.
- Location data — with your permission, the Handyy mobile apps may collect device location to show nearby jobs to service providers, to share a service provider’s “on the way” status and estimated travel time with the relevant customer, and to support service matching. You can disable location access in your device settings, though some features may stop working.
- Photos and camera content — where you choose to upload photos (for example, to describe a task or to evidence completed work), we collect and store those images.
- Messages — the content of in-app messages exchanged between customers and service providers, which we may access to operate the Platform, provide support, and investigate disputes, abuse or safety concerns.
- Device and usage information — your IP address, device identifiers, push notification tokens, app version, cookie information, and the pages or screens you view (see “Information Collected Automatically”, “Cookies” and “Web Beacons” below).
2. Information Collected Automatically
The Platform automatically receives and records information on our server logs from your browser or device, including your IP address, device identifiers, cookie information, and the page(s) or screen(s) requested.
3. How We Use and Disclose Personal Information
By providing your personal information to us, whether or not through the Platform, you consent to our collection, use and disclosure of your personal information (including but not limited to your email address and password) in accordance with this Privacy Policy. We may collect, use and/or disclose your personal information for the following purposes:
- (a) to provide and improve our services;
- (b) to create and maintain your account with us and facilitate your access to and/or use of the Platform, and the transactions between us and you;
- (c) to maintain and keep your records and data up to date;
- (d) to match customers with service providers, communicate booking details, and enable in-app messaging and notifications;
- (e) for targeted online marketing;
- (f) for accounting, billing and verification purposes;
- (g) for disaster recovery and back-up;
- (h) for internal administrative and management purposes;
- (i) to contact you regarding any feedback, queries or requests;
- (j) to address or investigate any complaints, claims or disputes;
- (k) to handle any issues which have come to our attention;
- (l) to facilitate investigations into any suspicious or illegal activity on the Platform, and to enforce our Terms of Use and policies;
- (m) where required by any act, statute, law, or regulation, or by the order of a government authority or a court or tribunal of competent jurisdiction;
- (n) any purposes exempted under the applicable laws;
- (o) such other purposes consented to by you for which your personal information is collected; or
- (p) any other purpose reasonably related to the aforesaid.
We may also disclose your personal information to our partners, service providers, contractors and affiliates in Singapore or elsewhere to provide our services, to maintain this Platform, or to protect the security or integrity of this Platform and our databases. We will use commercially reasonable efforts to ensure that such partners do not use your personal information for a purpose other than the purposes for which the personal information was originally given. Where you book or engage a service provider, we share with that service provider the information needed to perform the service (such as your name, contact details, service address and job details), and we share the corresponding customer-facing details with the relevant customer.
4. Mobile App Permissions
Our mobile apps may request the following device permissions. Each is optional and can be managed in your device settings, though disabling a permission may limit related features:
- Location — to display nearby jobs to service providers, to share “on the way” status and estimated arrival with the relevant customer, and to support matching.
- Camera and photo library — to let you attach photos to a task or upload proof of completed work.
- Notifications — to send you push notifications about bookings, messages, payments and account activity.
5. Payment System
We use Stripe as our online payment service provider. Your payment information is stored through Stripe’s data storage, database and the general Stripe platform. For further information on how your data is handled by Stripe you may wish to refer to the following links: Legal — https://stripe.com/en-sg/legal; Privacy Policy — https://stripe.com/en-sg/privacy.
6. Service Providers and Sub-processors
We rely on trusted third-party service providers to operate the Platform. These include, among others, our cloud database and application infrastructure provider, our payment processor (Stripe), and cloud storage providers used to host uploaded files and images (including Cloudflare R2). These providers may process your personal information on our behalf and may store data on servers located outside Singapore. We require them to protect your information consistent with this Privacy Policy and applicable law.
7. Aggregated Data
Notwithstanding anything to the contrary, we may generate aggregated and statistical data derived from your use of the Platform and/or from your information, including, without limitation, aggregated or anonymised data, the number of records, the number and types of transactions, configurations, and reports processed (“Aggregated Data”). By using the Platform and storing data on the Platform, you agree that we may have access to your data for the purpose of generating Aggregated Data. Such Aggregated Data shall not include any personally identifiable information.
You acknowledge and agree that we own: (a) the Aggregated Data; and (b) the processed data that results from any data analysis and processing by us or our affiliates (“Processed Data”). Nothing herein shall be construed as prohibiting us from utilising or disclosing the Aggregated Data and/or Processed Data for purposes of operating our business, provided that our use of Aggregated Data and/or Processed Data will not reveal the identity, whether directly or indirectly, of any individual. In no event shall the Aggregated Data and/or Processed Data include any personally identifiable information.
You further acknowledge and agree that, as part of our services, we may from time to time provide on the Platform product or service advertisements from us or our affiliates or partners based on the Aggregated Data and/or Processed Data collected or processed by us.
8. Cookies
We use cookies, where a small data file is sent to your browser to store and track information regarding you when you enter our Platform. The cookies are used to track information such as frequency of website or app visits, duration of visit, and web or app pages visited. This is to allow us to understand our traffic better, customise your experience, and pave the way for future improvement of the Platform. While the cookies can tell us when you enter our Platform and which pages you visit, they cannot read data off your hard disk.
9. Web Beacons
In limited circumstances, we also may use web beacons to collect anonymous, non-personal information about your use of our Platform, and your use of emails, special promotions or newsletters we send to you. Web beacons (also known as pixel tags) are tiny graphic image files embedded in a web page or email that provide a presence on the web page or email and send back to its home server information from your browser. The information collected by web beacons allows us to statistically monitor how many people are using the Platform, or opening our emails, and for what purposes.
10. Change of Control
We may share your personal data as part of a sale, merger or change in control, or in preparation for any of these events. Any other entity which buys us or part of our business will have the right to continue to use your data, but only in the manner set out in this Privacy Policy unless you agree otherwise.
11. Transfer of Data
We may transfer, store, process and/or deal with your personal data outside of Singapore. In doing so, we will comply with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (“PDPA”) and other applicable data privacy and protection laws.
12. Retention of Data
Your personal data will be retained by us for the duration of your use of the Platform and for a period of up to one (1) year thereafter so that we may re-activate your account with us, except where a longer retention period is required or permitted by applicable law.
13. Children
Our Platform is not designed or intended to appeal to minors and we do not knowingly attempt to solicit or receive any information from children. However, if a child under the age of 18 has provided us with any personal data, the parent or guardian of such child should contact us immediately at hello@handyy.sg so we can delete such information from our system unless otherwise permitted or required under the applicable laws.
14. Confidentiality
Save where expressly provided herein, we will not reveal to any person, firm or company any personal information which may come to our knowledge hereunder, and shall keep with complete secrecy the personal information provided by you, and shall not use or attempt to use any such personal information in any manner without your permission. These restrictions shall cease to apply to information or knowledge which may come into the public domain other than as a result of any act or breach of this Privacy Policy by us.
15. Accessing, Changing or Deleting Your Information
Please contact us at hello@handyy.sg if you wish to access, modify or delete any information you have provided to us. You may also update much of your account information directly within the app.
16. Security of Your Personal Information
Where appropriate, we use available technology to protect the security of communications made through the Platform. However, as no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you transmit to us, and you transmit such information at your own risk. We do not accept liability for the security, authenticity, integrity or confidentiality of any transaction and other communications made through the Platform.
Internet communications may be susceptible to interference or interception by third parties. Despite our best efforts, we make no warranties that the Platform is free of viruses or other unauthorised software. You should take appropriate steps to keep your information, software and equipment secure. This includes clearing your Internet browser cookies and cache before and after using any services on the Platform.
17. Third Party Websites
The Platform may contain hyperlinks to and from other Internet websites. These websites may have different privacy practices from the ones described here. Since this Privacy Policy applies solely to this Platform, please read the privacy statements of the other websites you visit.

You should therefore read this page carefully each time you visit the Platform.
20. Terms of Use
By accessing or using the Platform, you are deemed to have also accepted our Terms of Use.
